Choices
By Barry N Davidson -- Contributing Poet -- [Email This Item]
Looking over his shoulder About this he knows not one thing Was it super that she wanted Or the ones that have the wings The choices are too many And she even sent him with coupons Spring fresh, perhaps overnight Or the extra super-thin tampons He buries his choice under cereal And walks discreetly away Dreading the looks in the checkout When they scan it and he has to pay Perhaps he can linger back Until no other men are around He could go look at the magazines Or the candy bought by the pound He thinks his wife will be angry For taking as long as he had The cashier tries to scan, then yells "PRICE CHECK ON MAXI-PADS!"
