Cafe Del Soul
Breakdown
By JulieAnn Henneman -- Contributing Poet -- [Email This Item]
I don’t need a hospital I need a monastery; I don’t need medicine I need rapture~ I don’t need your restraints, Conformity is the enemy of Miracles I need to spin inside the pouting Moon; I need to scream outside the crimson sun With its white-hot need to warm the Faces of all his children. I need to crush petals under a salt-glow ocean Gleaming under the little twinkles of lights. The stars made sorrowful noises when I fell~ The sun wept, and the Moon groaned and The sea thrashed its crashing-cry dance The day I fell back To Earth.
